Located in the La Selva Beach area just south of Santa Cruz, this residence experienced a fire that almost destroyed the entire home.  Thankfully the foundation and lower-level area was still usable.  The client, finding this as an opportunity, decided to create the multi-generational family vacation home near the beach they always dreamed of having.  The entire 1st floor was redesigned to take advantage of the views of the ocean and a newly designed wrap-around deck allowed access all around the house.  The lower level that was a garage and storage was redesigned to be a walk-out basement with a play area, bathroom and outdoor shower to clean the pets and surf gear.  The existing one garage was redesigned to accommodate two cars.  Construction was complete in early 2024.
